Understanding our own values, strengths, joys and stressors and those of everyone we interact with provides a great foundation for communication. Knowing some of the ways people are different assures us that we are okay in our own uniqueness and we aren't alone in some of our idiosyncrasies.

Personality Dimensions translates complex personality theory into everyday language.

It creates a framework for understanding - not a pigeonhole. You will recognize temperament patterns that you are comfortable with and those of people that you know, but it's not about putting people into a box. Identifying differences and similarities through Personality Dimensions doesn't determine our behavior -

We make those choices. We may be strongly inclined to act in certain ways but we each can decide how we will behave.

Know Personality Dimensions to:

Portrait of Smiling Man

Case STudy

Ken had hit a rocky spell in his life. He wasn't happy with his job, and he was becoming increasingly unhappy at home. He was constantly arguing with his kids, and his marriage was heading off the rails. He didn't feel connected to anything or anyone, and he couldn't figure out how things had gotten so bad, let alone how to fix them. He was ready to walk.

Ken was deeply uncomfortable at the thought of taking a personal development course, but he was desperate to get back control of his life and salvage his relationships.

I recommended Personality Dimensions. Ken needed to better understand the perspectives of his family and how to effectively communicate with them. He came to realize his kids didn't hate him and his wife didn't resent him. He also came to realize how much of his unhappy work environment he was bringing home with him. He became aware of his own tendencies in group settings and conflicts, and how to adjust his behaviour to better reach others. He finished the course with some concrete actions to take in order to reconnect with his family. He felt empowered and optimistic, and he told me this course changed his life.
